Hiding the signatures is possible and easy to configure. There are two ways to suppress the signatures section or change its appearance in the petition form, depending on which WordPress editor (Gutenberg or Classic) you use.


If you use the Gutenberg block editor, please open the created page or post in which you embedded the Civist petition form. Now select the Civist block with the petition. You can change the appearance of the petition form in two ways:

  1. You can choose the desired form configuration on the right-hand side in the "Block" section under "Styles" or
  2. Click directly on the block symbol at the top left of the Civist block and select the desired appearance of the form in the context menu.

The third design option, "Form", removes the signature counter and - in case you set a goal - the progress bar with the signature goal. That only displays the petition form. Please note that this method only works with the Gutenberg editor.


TIP: With the Gutenberg Editor, you can even use other styles. For example, it is possible to move the signature counter section below the petition form or remove the petition form and embed only the signature counter.


If you are using the Classic Editor, please go to the petition you want to edit and open it in edit mode. On the right side, you will find a field called "Goal" (Third section "Settings"). If you set the goal to "0" (zero), only a signature counter will be displayed, but no goal and no progress bar. If you set it to "-1" (minus one), the whole signature area (signature counter, progress bar and goal) will be removed. Please note that this method only works with the WordPress Classic Editor.


If you use any other editor, there is no option to remove the signature counter from the petition form.

Wie kann ich den Unterschriftenzähler oberhalb meines Petitionsformulares entfernen?

Das Ausblenden der Unterschriften ist möglich und einfach zu konfigurieren. Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten, den Abschnitt mit den Unterschriften zu unterdrücken oder sein Aussehen im Petitionsformular zu ändern, je nachdem, welchen WordPress-Editor (Gutenberg oder Classic) du verwendest.


Wenn du den Gutenberg-Blockeditor verwendest, öffne bitte die erstellte Seite oder den Beitrag, in dem das Civist-Petitionsformular eingebettet ist. Wähle nun den Civist-Block mit der Petition aus. Das Aussehen des Formulars kannst du auf zwei Weisen ändern:
  • Du wählst auf der rechten Seite im Abschnitt "Block" unter "Styles" die gewünschte Formularkonfiguration aus oder
  • Du klickst direkt auf das Blocksymbol am Civist-Block oben links und wählst dort im sich öffnenden Kontextmenü das gewünschte Aussehen des Formulars.
Die dritte Gestaltungsoption "Formular" entfernt den Unterschriftenzähler sowie – in dem Fall das eine Zielmarke gesetzt wurde – den Fortschrittsbalken mit dem Ziel und zeigt nur noch das Petitionsformular an. Bitte beachte, dass diese Methode nur mit dem Gutenberg-Editor funktioniert.


TIPP: Mit dem Gutenberg-Blockeditor kannst du sogar andere Stile verwenden. Zum Beispiel ist es möglich, den Abschnitt des Unterschriftenzählers unter das Petitionsformular zu verschieben oder das Petitionsformular zu entfernen und nur den Unterschriftenzähler einzubetten.


Wenn du den Classic Editor verwendest, gehe bitte zu der Petition, die du bearbeiten möchtest und öffne sie im Bearbeitungsmodus. Auf der rechten Seite findest du ein Feld namens "Ziel" (Dritter Abschnitt "Einstellungen"). Wenn das Ziel auf "0" (Null) gesetzt wird, wird nur ein Unterschriftenzähler angezeigt, aber keine Zielmarke und kein Fortschrittsbalken. Wenn du den Wert auf "-1" (minus eins) setzt, wird der gesamte Unterschriftenbereich (Unterschriftenzähler, Fortschrittsbalken und Ziel) entfernt. Bitte beachte, dass diese Methode nur mit dem WordPress Classic Editor funktioniert.


Wenn du einen anderen Editor verwendest, gibt es keine Möglichkeit, den Unterschriftenzähler aus dem Petitionsformular zu entfernen.
